President's Welcome

For the last few year Cinnamon Toastmasters has seen quite a few changes.  When the company where our club was founded closed its doors, many of our members found jobs in other states.  When the odds were stacked against us, we didn’t turn away or give up.  We knew that what we were doing was important.  We knew that we would become a better club and better people by sticking with it.   I have seen the members of this club grow and blossom, going outside of their comfort zones to find new jobs and even new careers and leaning on the tools that they learned from Toastmasters to get there.

As I look forward to this new Toastmasters year, I see that the whole world is open to us. There is nothing that is beyond our reach if we are willing to commit to the programs developed by Toastmasters.  The members of Cinnamon Toastmasters genuinely care about each other, and go the extra mile with guest and new members to help them feel at ease.  Now that most of the original members are all settled into their new jobs, we are focused in on reaching out and helping others who may be struggling with self-confidence in speaking and wanting to learn leadership skills.  I look forward to this new year and the growth that will come to our club and to me personally.
